Êta programa que eu gosto!
Broadcasted for more than 30 years, Viola, Minha Viola (TV Cultura) started in April, 1980, presented by the radio broadcaster Moraes Sarmento and by the composer Nonô Basílio. In August of that year, Inezita was invited to share the stage with Moraes, in a partnership that lasted until his death, in 1998. The main goal was to open space to “caipira” and folk music, with 35 original shows per year in average. Invited artists were carefully chosen, either young artists that deserved attention or famous and popular ones, such as As Galvão, Liu & Léu, Renato Teixeira and Almir Sater.
On the stage of Viola, Minha Viola, respecting the essence of “caipira” music was of outmost importance for Inezita, who asked artists invited to bring acoustic instruments, distant from the present sertanejo environment. Until today, two years after the death of the singer, records arrive in the TVstation on her behalf, so wide was the effects of her work.
The audience at the recordings was faithful, who not only was regularly present, but also carried a affective relationship with Inezita. The show schedule included a time dedicated to the fans, who frequently gave her gifts.
